Volunteer Opportunities
Volunteer involvement through the Parents Programs strengthens the university and enables current and former parents to play an active role in the life of Johns Hopkins.
National Parents Committee (NPC)
Join with other enthusiastic and engaged current and former JHU parents who raise money for the Parents Fund, are Hopkins advocates in their communities, and support the university with leadership gifts.
Led by NPC Chairs, April and Dave Fellow P`07, P`11, of Massachusetts, the NPC meets twice yearly on the Homewood campus.
Admission Volunteers
Help welcome the parents of newly accepted students and promote JHU by making congratulatory phone calls and answering parent questions.
Orientation Volunteers
Welcome new parents to campus, answer questions at the Parents Programs table during the Parents Reception in August.
Parent Fund Volunteers
Share your time and enthusiasm about JHU by helping solicit support for the Parents Fund.
Host a Reception
University administration and faculty travel the country to meet parents in key cities throughout the year. As the parent of a JHU student, you can help by hosting a reception in your home.
Career Center
You and/or your company can help provide JHU students with internships, summer and full-time employment, and career advice , by working with the Career Center.
Welcome Calls Help us welcome the parents of new students to JHU by calling them in August to answer their questions about Johns Hopkins and provide them with local point of contact.
